London Wedding Photographer

Nasser Gazi Photography

Welcome to my website. My name is Nasser Gazi.  Most people would say I'm a wedding photographer.  I like to think of myself as a privileged witness to one of the most important days in anyone’s life.

A couple chooses me to document the unfolding of their special day. It becomes my mission to use all my skills as a photographer to capture those fleeting moments, to be in the right place at the right time, to anticipate and record the most significant, the most emotional moments in the best possible light.

This is what I do. And I love it. All you have to do is enjoy your day, enjoy the purity of your togetherness.  Be confident in the knowledge that I am working away in the background, and that soon I will hand over a set of beautiful, soulful and evocative images that reveal the essence of your wedding day.

Please have a look round my portfolio and blog to see some of my recent wedding photography. This is a small sample of the work I have done.  If you like my style or have any questions then do please contact me to discuss things further.

I am a proud member of the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP), the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) and the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Assoication (AG|WPJA).

You will have a face to face meeting with me to discuss your wedding day arrangements and any special wedding photography requirements. This is a great time to go over the details of your dayplan and make use of my extensive experience with weddings. The consultation can also be combined with a pre-wedding photoshoot.

Also known as "engagement shoots", these are informal couples shoots usually taken outdoors or at any location that you choose. These are usually a lot of fun, and are a great way to get to know how I work. At the end of it you will be left with a beautiful set of pictures of the two of you in prime.

I don't have any limits on the number of hours of coverage I provide on your wedding day. I offer full-day wedding coverage - from getting ready to the last dance. This means you won't have to worry about what time I will arrive or what time I'll finish.

Photographs always look best when printed by a professional print lab. If you choose a wedding album as part of your package, I will work with you after your wedding to select the best images from your wedding day and to design an amazing wedding album. This design will then be sent off to be printed and hand-made into a very special wedding album.

Some Frequently Asked Questions

What is your style of wedding photography?

My way of working is to be a keen observer at your wedding, anticipating special moments and photographing them in the best available light. Sometimes I’ll be working in the background and you won’t even notice me, but at other times I’ll be right there in the middle of the action – whatever it takes to document the day as it unfolds. This style of wedding photography is known as “documentary  wedding photography” or “reportage wedding photography”.

But that only describes one side of my style. The other side is little harder to explain. It involves getting a feeling for what’s going on around me being in the moment .. getting my thoughts out of the way .. all my technical skills as a photographer seem to work in autopilot at this stage. I call this style of photography “wedding photography from the heart”.

I like your candid style. Do you take group shots as well?

Yes. I usually discuss this with couples during the pre-wedding consultation. Some couples like to a fixed set of group shots with a pre-arranged lists of guests who will be in each shot. Others prefer all the pictures to be completely candid with no group shots at all. And, of course, there are all the nuances in between. It all depends on the style of your wedding and your personal preferences.

Can you work outside London?

Yes. I am more than happy to do destination weddings. I do not charge any extra for travelling within a 100 mile radius of where I live. Beyond that, there may be travel costs accommodation costs.

Can you use Photoshop to make me look good?

Quite a few brides ask me this. What I will say is that, as a photographer, I can definitely make you look good. But I don't do it using Photoshop. I use my knowledge of light, angles, and the most flattering poses to make you look your best.

Having said that, I don't believe that beauty is only skin deep. And the joy and happiness that shines through on a bride's wedding day trumps any photographic techniques that I could apply.

How much do you charge?

My rates start from £800 for a full day wedding. Please contact me for further information.

Do you have professional indemnity insurance?

Yes. I have professional indemnity insurance for upto £1,000,000. Some venues stipulate this as a requirement.

What gear do you use?

Ah, I love it when a client asks me that. Although it’s true that it’s not the gear that makes a good photographer, I must admit that I am careful to use only the best technology available for the purpose. I use a pair of Nikon D810’s and a D800 for a backup. These are full-frame 36MP cameras, with a full range of professional prime lenses for low-light and artistic work, and a set of speedlight flashes for creative flash photography. I also sometimes use traditional film cameras for pre-wedding shoots. If you want to more about what equipment I use for wedding photography, I’d be only too happy to discuss it with you ;)

Who made your website?

I get a lot of wedding photographers asking me that. I made this website myself. I have a background in computer programming and design, which helps.

What if you are ill on our wedding and can't make it?

This has never happened before.. touch wood. However, should any unforeseen circumstances prevent me from coming to a wedding, I am in contact with a network of top professional wedding photographers and it would not be a problem to ask somebody to cover for me.

Thank you for your interest in my photography. I would love to hear from you!
